Kevin J. Malone, Strategic Advisor with EBG Advisors and Senior Counsel at Epstein Becker Green, will co-present "Trends in Behavioral Health Innovation in Medicaid and Medicare Managed Care," a CLE class at the American Health Law Association Education Center hosted by the Behavioral Health Task Force and the Payers, Plans and Managed Care Practice Group.
CMS, states, counties, health plans, providers, and social service agencies are pursuing increasingly complex arrangements to help prevent and treat participants with behavioral health conditions, including the integration of primary and behavioral health services, integration of services addressing the social determinants of health, and the integration of Medicare and Medicaid services, among others. This panel will discuss trends in Medicaid and state and federally funded social services and trends in the integration of Medicaid and Medicare benefits through Medicare Advantage special needs plans and use of such arrangements to deploy innovative behavioral health services.
