EBG Advisors provided advice in the development of a draft Review of Third Party Payor Coverage document for a medical device company in response to a Medicare Advantage Post-Payment Audit of one of its products. EBG Advisors provided knowledge and understanding of Medicare and major payor's medical and reimbursement policies and how those policies applied to the use of the medical device.
Additionally, we provided insight on the medical conditions that an individual may have which would require use of the device; an understanding of published medical literature regarding the medical conditions and use of the device; knowledge of the short and long term benefits of the use of the device; information on related research and current clinical trials, and; how data collection and various data systems impact the use of the medical device.
